Welcome to Optimist year 2008/2009. I'm happy to be President this year for many reasons. One, Greg Way....... I am following in some big foot steps literally and figuratively. Greg has been a great teacher and motivator over this past year and I hope I can continue in that same fashion. Two more reasons, the Secretary Alex Ansell and Treasurer Tom Connor. Both of these guys are priceless and with their assistance and guidance the year should run a smooth course. As well, we have a great Board of Directors with a mix of long time members, some new members and a few past presidents. The wealth of experience is immeasurable. Of course one of the main reasons I am pleased to be your 24th President is due to the membership. We have a hardworking club ready to volunteer many hours per year helping the club to grow and stay strong, so that in the end all of our efforts benefit the youth of Aurora.
