Welcome to the Optimist Club of Aurora website. We are proud to be one of 2,500 Optimist Clubs throughout the world that reach more than 6 million young people each year. Together we fundraise and work together on service projects that make life better for so many and we have fun doing it! 35 Years of Optimism in Aurora

• We have contributed over $120,000 to the Aurora Public Library's Children's Section
• We have donated $20,000 to the Healthy Snacks Programs at Aurora elementary schools
• Our Club has marshalled the Town of Aurora Santa Claus Parade for 35+ years
• In 2000, our Club donated $20,000 to the Highview Spirit Playground, a fully accessible playground
• Our Club was one of the first service organizations to support the York Region Community Safety Village in 2001 - we contributed $30,000 to this project
• Our Club has organized the Aurora Minor Hockey Tournament and the Annual Chess Tournament for 21 years
